Board of Appeals continues Smith Road variance hearing to January 12
Board of Appeals · Meeting of January 5, 2026
MILTON — The Board of Appeals continued a hearing on a request to expand a pre-existing, non-conforming home at 109 Smith Road. Homeowner Stephon Gillings seeks approval for a 9-foot-by-20-foot left-side second-story addition, an 18-foot-by-32-foot two-story rear addition, and roof replacement adding 1.5 stories to the existing structure. The Board Chair requested calculations to verify the cellar does not constitute a first floor and the attic does not count as a story under town zoning bylaws.
The Building Department had denied the application, and the hearing was continued to January 12 at 4 p.m.
