Milton Board of Health ratifies condemnation of Craig Street property. Chair Laura Richards and Member Deborah Milbauer voted unanimously on June 1 to ratify an emergency condemnation of 4 Craig Street, which had been issued May 19 after the property was determined unfit for human habitation. The building presented fire hazards, rodent activity, air-quality concerns, and sewage leakage.
The property owner, Gertha Pierre, had not responded to three notices from the Health Department prior to the public hearing. In related business, the board voted unanimously to raise septic plan review fees from $400 to $1,200 effective July 1 to cover consultant costs.
