Capital Committee Approves $5.16M FY27 Budget

Capital Improvement Planning Committee · Meeting of January 29, 2026

Milton Capital Panel Approves $5.16M FY27 Budget. The Capital Improvement Planning Committee unanimously voted to approve the town's $5,161,000 capital budget recommendation, comprised of $1,216,000 in non-bonded capital from Free Cash and $3,945,000 in bonded capital. Town Administrator Nicholas Milano presented the revised recommendation, which adds $15,000 for tree improvements.

School Committee member Dr. Elizabeth Carroll raised timing concerns about Community Preservation Fund-eligible projects requiring sequential approval from the Community Preservation Committee, noting the approach could delay projects and require more advance planning.
