Milton Board of Health votes tobacco-license suspensions after compliance failures. The board suspended licenses for 14 days at Milton Shell (11 Bryant Avenue) and Milton Fuel (352 Granite Avenue) and assessed $1,000 fines each after both failed compliance checks for underage tobacco sales. Jason Audi, manager of both establishments, assured the board that employee training and ID-checking procedures would prevent future violations.
In other business, the board unanimously approved a septic-system variance for 71 Ford Ranch Road pending Conservation Commission approval, and deferred action on a residential kitchen variance request for a snail-sales business pending additional information from the applicant.
