Milton Select Board closes fiscal 2026 with $4.2 million revenue surplus. Town Administrator Nicholas Milano reported revenues exceeded budget estimates by $4.2 million, and the Board unanimously approved appropriations transfers that absorb the town's $1.49 million snow and ice deficit while projecting an $1.8 million operating budget turnback. The Board also approved $395,000 in combined PILOT payments from Curry College ($110,000) and Milton Academy ($285,000), and voted to oppose state-level changes to the PILOT funding formula that could reduce Milton's annual $1.57 million allocation, making Milton the fourth-largest recipient statewide.
