Planning Board approves MBTA zoning feasibility report, works through sign bylaw details.

Planning Board · Meeting of February 12, 2026

MILTON — Planning Board unanimously recommends MBTA zoning feasibility study to Select Board. The Economic Feasibility Analysis, conducted by the Metropolitan Area Planning Council, examined five inclusionary zoning scenarios and determined all were economically feasible for development; the report will proceed to the Executive Office of Housing and Livable Communities for state review. Chair Meredith Hall and Secretary Cheryl Tougias directed staff to incorporate inclusionary zoning options into the town's Housing Production Plan update.

The board also spent substantial time revising a Sign Bylaw Zoning Amendment, requesting a revised draft by February 20 and directing staff to prepare Town Meeting materials clarifying the application process.
