Planning Board approves Site Plan Review Rules and Regulations.
Planning Board · Meeting of January 15, 2026
MILTON — Planning Board unanimously approves Site Plan Review Rules and Regulations, moving forward with revised permitting framework. Director Liz Manning and town counsel Carolyn Murray of KP Law worked on the revisions; discussion focused on tree survey requirements for adjacent properties, with the board settling that graphic representation would satisfy the regulation. The board also discussed a Sign Bylaw overhaul with Ms.
Murray but took no vote, leaving unresolved questions about the Sign Review Committee role, billboard definitions, and preexisting nonconforming sign provisions. Chair Meredith Hall deferred a final vote on the MBTA Communities Economic Feasibility Analysis pending clarification of potential modifications. The board approved $40,000 in FY27 budget for recodification work and confirmed ongoing $50,000 annual planning studies funding.
