Milton School Building Committee approves Laboure College study. Chair Sean P. O'Rourke led the committee in a unanimous vote to procure professional services to evaluate whether the three-building Laboure College campus, which closes this August, could accommodate school district programs and grade configurations.
Interim Superintendent of Schools John Phelan indicated the School Committee will review viable configurations for the site at a May 20 meeting. The committee will use its remaining funds to hire an architect to develop feasibility assessments and cost estimates, while planning for necessary additions including a cafeteria and gymnasium.
