Stoughton Trust approves $25,000 to Beth Israel Deaconess Milton

Trustees of the Governor Stoughton Trust · Meeting of April 14, 2026

MILTON — The Trustees of the Governor Stoughton Trust unanimously approved a $25,000 grant to Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center-Milton Campus. Chair Benjamin D. Zoll and four fellow trustees voted 5-0 to authorize the funding following an update from Town Administrator Nicholas Milano.

In a separate vote, the trustees withdrew a request for proposals related to the Town Farm project after learning that a developer plans to build 74 affordable housing units at 648-652 Canton Avenue, making the current Town Farm initiative no longer feasible; Richard G. Wells, Jr. abstained on that motion. Executive session minutes from five prior meetings were deferred pending Chair Zoll's review.
