Warrant Committee recommends Tax Title Fund and Tax Credits articles
Warrant Committee · Meeting of March 9, 2026
MILTON — Warrant Committee recommends two fiscal articles for May Town Meeting. The Committee voted 9-0, with 2 abstentions, to back Article 35 establishing a Tax Title Fund for centralized property administration expenses, and voted 4-2, with 2 abstentions, to recommend Article 36 adopting state-mandated tax exemptions for veterans, seniors, and the legally blind. Town Administrator Nicholas Milano stated the overlay fund should accommodate exemption costs.
Committee member Grace Doherty opposed Article 36, citing competing school funding priorities; member Andrew S. Koh voted against and questioned why the town should adopt state law rather than create its own program.
