MILTON — Warrant Committee discusses FY27 budget assumptions and article assignments. Chair Jay Fundling corrected a prior characterization of the School Committee's Special Education Circuit Breaker Fund as a revolving fund rather than a stabilization fund and revised the Committee's new-growth assumption to $1 million pending fall confirmation from Town Administrator Nicholas Milano. Secretary Macy Lee reported the Police Department seeks an IT professional funded by converting one patrolman position and flagged a 10 percent health insurance premium increase across town.
Fundling assigned members to report individually on five non-budget warrant articles, including the Atherton Fire Station study, sign bylaw, historic district bylaws, marijuana business prohibition repeal, and solar panel leasing proposal.
