MILTON — The Milton Select Board voted to hire LandVest for a $13,500 appraisal of Laboure College as the town studies converting the site into a prekindergarten and district-administration building. Town Administrator Nicholas Milano said the School Committee backed that program June 3 but is still weighing a K-5 option tied to the state school building authority. The board also voted 5-0 to adopt a Decarbonization Roadmap and Zero Emissions Vehicle Policy, and approved a $25,000 state-funded stage for Manning Park that must be built by June 30.
Finance Director Amy Dexter reported a $230 million total town budget run by a four-person accounting staff and flagged succession-planning risk. The board also voted 5-0 to close a hearing and approve ten AT&T small wireless facility installations, and to shift $60,036.48 in surplus bond proceeds to debt service. A proposed 25-year energy credit deal with ReWild, LLC, offering an 82.5-cent-per-dollar credit rate, remains under town counsel review.
