The Milton Parks Commission reviewed a $4.5 million to $5 million plan to rebuild Flatley Field.
Other Committee · Meeting of May 28, 2026
MILTON — The Milton Parks Commission reviewed a $4.5 million to $5 million plan to rebuild Flatley Field. A consultant, identified in the discussion as Ryan, presented revised designs keeping a lighted synthetic turf multipurpose field, cutting one of three natural grass fields to add a playground, and adding roughly 58 parking spaces. Cost estimates included $850,000 for parking, $600,000 for a playground, $1 million for synthetic turf carpet, $500,000 for athletic lights and roughly $1 million for a restroom and pavilion building.
The consultant said the town is short three to four multipurpose fields and two diamonds, and that closing the gap "is infeasible" without turf or new land. Commissioners also reviewed Andrews Field, previously estimated at $2.5 million to $2.7 million, where a parking redesign could cost about $1 million. No votes were taken.
