Other Committee · Meeting of October 15, 2026

Milton's Board of Appeals accepted the withdrawal of a variance request for a new house at 350 Blue Hill Avenue after a redesign eliminated the need for zoning relief. Attorney Corcoran, representing applicant Stanley Genius, told the board the revised two-story design lowers the finished first floor to less than four feet above grade and removes the rear setback issue that had triggered the request. Building Commissioner Michael White wrote to the board that "it appears the changes they have made have eliminated the need for any variance.

All the setbacks work." Abutters Corey Verable, James Goff and Robert Sacco had filed written letters opposing the original variance, but the board voted unanimously to accept the withdrawal without ruling on those objections. The applicant must still file a formal written withdrawal to close the file.
