Milton School Committee unanimously adopted desired characteristics for its next superintendent. Consultants George Perry and Karen Shaw of HYA presented findings from interviews with 75 stakeholders and a survey of 548 respondents, producing ten draft traits including "strong strategic leader" and "instructional leader focused on student achievement." The committee also finalized a selection committee including Select Board representative Winston Daly and Milton Educators Association President Brendan Bond, with the application deadline set for November 24. Earlier, curriculum leaders reported Tucker Elementary's state accountability score climbed 26 percentage points, from 35 percent to 61 percent of targets met, moving the school to the 71st percentile among comparable schools.
