MILTON — The Milton Zoning Board of Appeals approved a special permit for a 12-by-18-foot rear deck at 50 Frothingham Road and continued two other hearings to November 12. Chair Kathleen O'Donnell and members Ted Daber and Michael Brown voted unanimously after neighbors Andrew Hanley, Thomas Morgan and Peter Hunt voiced support for applicant Chris Wasson. A sign-permit request for digital pricing signs at a Granite Avenue gas station, presented by Wedad Audi, was continued because the town's Sign Review Committee had not yet reviewed it.
The board spent more than two hours on a 40B modification request for Comprehensive Land Holdings' 116-unit project at 648-652 Canton Avenue, where attorney Jesse Schomer proposed raising affordable units from 29 to 74 under new tax-credit financing. Abutters' attorney Hill said eliminating a second driveway made the site "less safe." The board continued deliberations to November 12.
