Select Board · Meeting of August 31, 2026

Milton's Select Board heard three rival bids for the East Milton Fire Station but took no vote on awarding the town-owned building. Developer Kyle Harish pitched a $900,000 purchase plus $2 million rehab for a restaurant concept, while Coastal Medical Transportation Systems, Milton's EMS provider, offered to buy or lease the building before its temporary DPW arrangement expires September 29. Attorney Gordon Glass proposed a mixed-use redevelopment with a four-season atrium on behalf of Milton Fire LLC.

Coastal's Mark Contardo said, "How do we continue to service the town if we don't have a home?" The board agreed to defer a proposed bylaw change on Town Meeting debate limits to a future Town Meeting rather than the October 19 Special Town Meeting, and by unanimous 5-0 roll calls appointed Glen Hoffman, Christine Stanton, Benjamin Zoll and three new Bicycle Advisory Committee members.
