Other Committee · Meeting of September 10, 2026

Milton Parks and Recreation Commission approved the town's first naloxone box in a public park. Commissioners Carolyn Cahill, Steve Novak and Rob Lebeck voted unanimously to place a Narcan rescue box at Turner's Pond after Health Director Caroline Gonzalez and Health Agent Jenna Conroy pitched a Canton-style program, citing Milton overdoses falling from 14 in 2021 to nine in 2025. "We actually got a lot of positive feedback," Conroy said of Canton's four park boxes, which were sometimes emptied within a week.

The commission also backed three Community Preservation Act funding requests ahead of a September 25 deadline, including a $45,000 ask for Mary C. Lane Playground's baseball field and roughly $30,000 for softball design work at the Geo Field complex, and appointed Novak to the Milton Landing Committee.
