Milton Public Library trustees paused a parking study after the library foundation finalized its purchase of 480 Canton Avenue, the "Yellow House." Library Director Will reported circulation up 46 percent over five years and digital spending topping $170,000 annually, while Foundation interim president Paul said the purchase closed through trustee funds, foundation money and a loan from Grotman Trust. Paul credited volunteer Kathleen O'Donnell with resolving financing snags, saying "she literally got things done that we wouldn't have gotten done." Trustees unanimously accepted a letter telling the Planning Board the parking RFP process is "probably dead" for now, and adopted a revised land acknowledgment developed with Neponset tribe steward Thomas Green. The director also reported the library's generator project remains on hold pending a new siting cost estimate after resident pushback over aesthetics.
