Select Board Approves Traffic Calming Plan Contract, Veterans Sign

Select Board · Meeting of April 7, 2026

MILTON — Select Board approves traffic calming plan with consultant firm. The five-member board voted unanimously to hire Toole Design to develop a master plan and policy identifying priority streets for speed-reduction measures in response to increasing concerns about traffic volumes and speeds. The scope includes community engagement, baseline analysis, and a three-year implementation strategy.

The board also voted unanimously to authorize a commemorative veterans sign on Brae Burn Road honoring Lt. Col. Mary C.

Coyle, an Air Force Reserve flight nurse, and Colonel Edward H. Coyle, a decorated Marine Corps veteran with two Vietnam tours and a purple heart. The board rejected a Keno Monitor request at Milton Food Mart and extended the Budget Coordination Committee's term through fiscal year 2030.
