MILTON — The Milton Board of Appeals unanimously approved a height variance letting Two Pence Market reuse two existing signposts at 2 Elliott Street. Manager Dan Kerrigan said the posts, 12 feet 3 inches and 14 feet 4 inches tall, predate the renovation and exceed the eight-foot limit under Milton's new sign review bylaw, which the committee approved 3-0 on May 22, 2026. Sign Review Committee chair John Zikwitz backed the request, saying it was "a great thing that they were keeping them in place and reutilizing them." Board members Michael Brown and Frank O'Brien and Chair O'Donnell cited the signposts' age and the building's unusual scale in granting relief.
Kerrigan said the market hopes to open "in the middle of July."
