Planning Board · Meeting of September 24, 2026

MILTON — The Milton Planning Board voted unanimously to send a revised fire station RFP letter and an East Milton Square economic development plan to the Select Board. Member Hal Munger, an architect, itemized missing engineering data in a revised 648 Canton Avenue 40B application now proposing 116 units, including absent stormwater, grading and traffic studies, calling out a fire-truck access loop built "with no section showing how that works." Member Margaret Oldfield urged holding off on East Milton Square rezoning "until the 40B's are settled and the rotary is completed." The board also raised the "community and economic benefit" weighting in a planned new fire station RFP from 20 percent to 25 percent, and approved two routine ADU site plan decisions, for 531-535 Brook Road and 136 Indian Spring Road, both by unanimous voice votes.
